It is an honor and a privilege to have the opportunity to share this incredible interview with all of you. Dan opens up to us about his transformation with yoga, his IED in 2004 in Iraq, his connection to finding himself again and the awakening that transformed and shifted his new mission in life.
He playful addresses being a father and grandfather, as well as how yoga and mindfulness practices have deepened his relationships. Dan offers his heartfelt words to be ok with being vulnerable, crying, and showing emotion. It is what makes you who you are.
Dan shares about the meaning of Yodah, the name of his nonprofit as well as his projects Warrior Spirit Retreat and his work with Wounded Warriors Project, Warriors Speak. He shares how WWP was a huge part of his personal healing and growth.
We just LOVE DAN and are so inspired by his lighthearted, transparent, what you see is what you get, down to earth, presence. His smile lights up a room and being in the same space, via virtual or in person is like getting a warm hearty hug from your big brother. He creates a space that is welcoming and supported. If you haven’t heard about Dan, practiced yoga with him, or listened to one of his inspirational speeches, then I implore you to:
